1. What should your QR code open?
A web address opens the page when scanned. Any other text is simply shown to the person scanning.
Guests scan the code and join your Wi-Fi without typing the password.
Scanning opens the visitor's email app with your address — and your subject and message, if you add them — already filled in.
Include the country code (like +44 for the UK) so the number dials correctly from anywhere.

Please note: your QR image is generated for free by the goQR.me (QRServer) online service — the content you type is sent to that service to draw the image, so do not put passwords or private text in a QR code unless you are comfortable with that. A fully offline version cannot be offered on this page; that honesty matters more than a slick claim.
How to use this QR code generator

- Choose a size (bigger for printing) and colours with strong contrast.

What can a QR code hold?
- Links — a website, blog post, menu, review page or social profile.
- Wi-Fi details — network name and password, so guests connect in one scan.

- Plain text — a short message, code or instructions.
- QR codes can hold up to a few thousand characters, but shorter content scans faster and more reliably — a short link always beats a long paragraph.
