Title Case capitalises the important words in a headline. Small joining words — a, an, the, and, or, of, in, on, at, to and for — stay lowercase in the middle of a title, because they carry less meaning. The first word is always capitalised, even if it is a small word: “The Lord of the Rings”, “A Guide to Blogging for Beginners”. Hyphenated words are handled part by part, so “state-of-the-art” becomes “State-of-the-Art”.
Want every single word capitalised instead, small words included? Use Capitalise Each Word.
| Case | Example | Best for |
|---|---|---|

| lowercase | just a quiet note | URLs, email addresses, code, tags and casual social posts. |
| Title Case | How to Write a Blog Post | Blog headlines, article titles, book and video titles. |
| Sentence case | How to write a blog post | Normal writing, subheadings, UI labels and modern brand style guides. |
| Capitalise Each Word | Every Word Is Capitalised Here | Form fields, name lists, and titles where house style capitalises everything. |
| aLtErNaTiNg CaSe | sUrE, gReAt IdEa | Memes and playful, sarcastic social posts. Never for professional text. |
| inVERSE Case | tHE qUICK bROWN fOX | Fixing text typed with Caps Lock accidentally on — it swaps every letter back. |
| Remove Extra Spaces | too many spaces → too many spaces | Cleaning pasted text from PDFs, emails and documents. |
| Remove Duplicate Lines | apple, apple, banana → apple, banana | Keyword lists, email lists, product lists and any pasted list with repeats. |
| Reverse Text | hello → olleh | Puzzles, games, social posts and checking palindromes. |
